We are a youth marching band based in Stone, Staffordshire providing low-cost musical opportunities to local young people from all backgrounds.
Stone Youth Marching Band takes new members from 7 years old and is proud to have an open-door policy, which means we’re always recruiting, and new members are welcome to visit us to find out more.
Most of our new members are complete beginners but will be taught by experienced members meaning that they get to know each other quickly, forming strong friendships and working relationships with their peers. All our members complete theory lessons each week to help them learn how to read and understand sheet music.
Each new member can attend free of charge for 4 weeks. If they choose to become a full member of the band, we charge a membership fee of just £10 per month and they will be provided with a uniform and instrument (though some of our members do prefer to use their own instruments).
We are also looking for new adult instructors who can play brass and woodwind instruments, particularly helping with techniques and reading music. If you're interested in joining or helping please get in touch!
